Comments on the environment: Right bank of the Nubra. Very steep path up to Ensa Monastery. Stele bearing a Buddhist deity placed in a room at the entrance to the Ensa monastery complex. Spring.

Comments on the condition: When we visited in 2007, a road to the Ensa monastery was under construction. It stopped at the foot of the site, and it is not impossible that it extended further down. The rocks were probably destroyed when the road was extended.
