Welcome to the Himalayan Rock Art Database (HiRADa)
The Himalayan Rock Art Database (HiRADa) provides open access to visual and descriptive data for hundreds of open-air rock art sites documented in India (Union Territory of Ladakh and state of Himachal Pradesh), Pakistan and Afghanistan from 1969 onward.
It enables to explore three types of record (systematic, surveyed and reported) for a total of 544 rock art sites.
It also enables detailed searches for 165 systematically documented sites; 240 zones; 2801 rocks; 3478 surfaces; 17,653 motifs and 1,575 scenes.
